Courses and workshops
When an incident shakes the team
Prepare roles, communication and support for distressing events at work.
Who it is for
Leaders, HR and organisations
Format
Half-day in-house workshop
Clarity about responsibility and next steps
We work on roles, communication routes and appropriate support when an exceptional event affects your team. Content is tailored to your organisation's working environment and questions.
- Clarify roles, responsibilities and limits
- Prepare clear and considerate communication
- Identify internal and external support routes
- Consider follow-up and the needs of those involved
A draft for your organisation
You develop a draft covering responsibilities, communication and contact points, which your organisation can then review internally. More extensive specialist consultation can be arranged separately.
While the psychological first-aid course practises direct support for one person, this workshop focuses on team responsibilities and organisational processes.
Preparation, not emergency deployment
The workshop is training, not treatment or an emergency service. It does not promise to prevent trauma-related consequences. Exercises use fictional scenarios; no one has to disclose personal distressing experiences.
The practice has no 24-hour emergency service. In immediate danger, call 144. We agree the working environment, priorities, group size, scope and fees in advance.
Before booking
Dates are agreed individually. Fees are set out in a written quotation. Payment is due within 20 days unless agreed otherwise. Please read the course cancellation conditions before confirming a booking.
For an enquiry, the course topic, approximate group size, preferred location and time period are sufficient. Please do not include identifiable case histories or confidential health information.
